Andrej Babis and Petr Pavel lead the first lap
Eight candidates were in competition to replace President Miloš Zeman. Populist ex-prime minister Andrej Babiš and retired general Petr Pavel are in the running for the second round.
Former Prime Minister Andrej Babis and General Petr Pavel, who came out on top in the first round of the presidential election in the Czech Republic, will face each other on 27 and 28 January in the second round of voting.
Andrej Babis won 36.72% and Petr Pavel 33.73%, while economist Danuse Nerudova came third with 13.79% after 80% of the vote was counted, according to results published by the Czech Statistical Office.
