Zack Snyder teases an announcement about Darkseid in April
Batman v Superman and Justice League director Zack Snyder teased a full Darkseid-related trailer next month.
In a highly cryptic tweet, the director shared a short clip of “an upcoming broadcast from Lord Darkseid,” arriving from April 28-30.
But with so little information on our hands, it’s hard to conclude what this means. And given that James Gunn and Peter Safran recently revealed their plans for the first chapter of the new DCU universe and Darkseid has been axed, it’s unlikely it will be a movie.

Darkseid was the main villain in Batman v Superman, but there are other characters within the current DCEU universe that include the likes of Shazam, Black Adam, and Wonder Woman. The tweet also includes the hashtag “full circle”, which may also allude to a return to the beginning of the DCEU universe, set in motion by Snyder’s Man of Steel.
On the other hand, the new DC Studios directors seem determined to steer clear of these films, as the Flash movie starring Ezra Miller is set to reboot the entire universe.
Whether or not Snyder has a place in the new DCU universe remains to be seen, but DC Comics chief creative officer Kim Lee said in July last year that Justice League: The Snyder Cut would likely be the director’s final film in the series.
