Warhammer 40K: Darktide release date delayed for consoles
Since the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide in November, players have shared complaints about patchy gameplay mechanics and unstable frame rates, with only 35% of the last 8,510 Steam reviews currently positive.
Fatshark, the team behind the co-op shooter, is now shifting its focus to addressing these complaints. The company’s CEO, Martin Wahlund, spoke about the game’s launch and outlined the team’s plan moving forward in an open letter posted to the game’s Twitter account.

“When creating Warhammer 40K: Darktide, the team wanted to create a highly engaging and stable game with a level of depth that will keep you playing for weeks, not hours, and we fell short of those expectations,” the statement said.
He then moved on to announce a new focus on responding to player feedback, which would include “a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression system, game stability and performance optimization.”
The team’s new focus will delay the release of Xbox Series X | S indefinitely, which was scheduled to be available shortly after the game’s November launch on PC.
