TV presenter Stephen Colbert wants to turn George RR Martin’s favorite fantasy series into a TV series


Famed TV presenter Stephen Colbert has decided to turn one of veteran writer George Martin’s favorite fantasy book series into a TV series.

According to a newspaper report The Hollywood ReporterStephen’s production company, Spartina, has teamed up with Skybound Entertainment and Vincent Newman Entertainment for a TV series based on Roger Zelazny’s The Chronicles of Amber, first published in 1970.

The story of the series revolves around “Corwin”, a young man who wakes up on Earth with no memory, but soon discovers that he is a prince of a royal family with the ability to travel through different dimensions of reality called shadows, and control the real world.

For years, the famous author “George Martin”, the author of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, which is inspired by the famous Game of Thrones series, has expressed his desire to turn The Chronicles of Amber into a TV series, and he even mentioned through his blog Last October, he wanted to see more fantasy works on television, especially the series of writer “Roger Zelazny”.

Of course, “George Martin” is not involved in this project, and the existence of related writers has not been revealed yet, but “Stephen Colbert” is very attached to bringing this fantasy world to the small screen, while searching for a distributor for the series, despite his production company It has an agreement with CBS to air the series during it.
