Tom Cruise loved The Flash so much he called his director to praise it
The upcoming Flash movie was already a huge fan following when James Gunn called it “probably one of the greatest superhero movies ever,” but now there’s an unlikely celebrity who’s getting excited about the next DC movie: Tom Cruise.
According to a report issued by THRthe Top Gun and Mission Impossible star loved The Flash so much he called director Andy Muschetti to praise it.
The story began when Cruise met the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery’s David Zaslav, who spoke to Cruise about how great The Flash is. Cruz asked to see the film, and Zaslav agreed, sending an advance copy of the film to Cruz’s home in Beverly Hills. Shortly after Cruz finished the film, he reached out to Muschetti.
According to THR’s sources, Cruz said of The Flash that it has everything you could want in a movie, adding that “these are the movies we need right now.”
For now, all we have is word of Cruise, since The Flash won’t hit theaters until June 16th. The film will introduce two versions of Barry Allen for Ezra Miller, Batman for Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, as well as the arrival of Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl. The film will also see the return of Zod, played by Michael Shannon, and Faura, played by Antje Trouw.
