The Witcher 3 Next Generation update improves the performance mode

CD Projekt Red has released Update 4.02 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, bringing sweeping changes to the quality of the game on the PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions.

Explain Update Notes 4.02which was published by the Polish game studio on Monday, fixed various bugs within the game depending on the platform used to play, however, the most important part is that the update has improved the stability and overall performance of the game.

In the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the update has improved CPU core usage in DX 12 version. There are also other bug fixes including the My Rewards section not being translated in REDlauncher; landscape flash in Tucson when Nvidia HairWorks is disabled; and an issue with the game pausing due to particle optimization.

The update improves performance mode on both PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and mitigates a crash that occurs when Geralt runs away from Shani after starting dialogue in the “Whatsoever a Man Soweth” quest. It also fixes bugs causing memory usage crashes while using ray tracing on Xbox Series X, and character blur on the PS5 version.

It is reported that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was transferred to PS5 and Xbox Series X / S on December 14, 2022, bringing new outfits and a mission inspired by the Netflix series, and five new games in The Witcher series are currently in the works.
