The Last of Us is coming soon, and while the show was very similar to the original video game, there are some differences, particularly in regards to the cast. Joel and Ellie, the main characters in the story, are portrayed by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in the HBO Max series. While Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson played those roles in the game.
But what if the actors were switched? A video by Speclizer explores the idea by showing what Bella Ramsey would look like if she were The Last of Us 2.
If you were wondering how this was possible, it turns out that Sony games use a special face processing system, and Vontadeh, who is responsible for this mod, seems to know this system well, as he also managed to transfer the face of Kratos and Atreus from God of War to The Last of UsPart 2.
We found out Ragnarok’s and TLOU2’s charas share UVs (we assume to share propietary face rig tech across Sony studios, but that’s just a conjecture) which made model wrapping and transfering attributes really easy👀
