The European Commission postpones the deadline for a decision on Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard
The European Commission has pushed back the April 25 deadline for a decision on Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
According to a report ReutersIn light of Microsoft’s recent developments, the regulator will make its decision on May 22nd instead of April, as the committee seeks feedback from competitors, as well as customers, resulting in a new deadline of May 22nd.
The European Commission originally set its deadline to decide the fate of the acquisition at April 25 before changing it to May, noting that the potential takeover’s size of $69 billion means that regulators around the world should not be in a hurry to make a proper decision.
