STALKER 2 DEVELOPER SAYS HACKED, TEAMS PLAYERS TO STAY AWAY FROM LEAKS
GSC Game World, the developer of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has revealed that it has been hacked by a group on a Russian social network.
The GSC Game World team posted a statement about the hack on Twitter, explaining what happened and revealing that the studio has been subjected to cyberattacks since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

GSC Game World wrote: “Recently, the account of our employee of a teamwork application with photos was hacked, a community of a Russian social network claimed responsibility for it. They threaten to use the data obtained for blackmail and intimidation.”
GSC Game World asks fans to “refrain from viewing or distributing information” about STALKER 2 if any leaks occur, and the studio has said that the leaks do not represent the final product.
GSC Game World also reiterated its “unwavering commitment to support” Ukraine, adding that “attempting to blackmail or intimidate us is pointless”. Finally, the team expressed its appreciation to the STALKER 2 community, concluding, “Your support is our inspiration.”
