Marvel strives to suppress leaks related to its business, and may take legal action against the person responsible for leaking unseen Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania dialogue on the Reddit forums.
According to a report THRLast Monday, a federal district court in “California” issued several subsidiary names in order to determine the persons responsible for publishing and leaking content from January 15 to February 15, under the Digital Intellectual Property Law.
The report indicated that Marvel seeks to pursue a copyright infringement case if the leaker is identified.
A spokesperson for Reddit Forums has told the site Variety saying:
Reddit is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, and we have rigorous processes for evaluating legal requests and objecting where applicable.
Variety’s report also notes that Marvel requested similar information from Google, as the copyrighted information was apparently shared via Google Docs. The leak reportedly included 63 pages of scripted dialogue from the film, which came out a full month before the film was released in cinemas last February.
