Marvel’s Avengers gets its latest official update today
Less than three years after the title’s release, support for Marvel’s Avengers is waning, and Crystal Dynamics today released Update 2.8 for the game, which adds some features and fixes a handful of bugs before the title is removed from stores later this year.
Crystal Dynamics revealed the update through Posted on the official team blogand thanked the players for their support during the last period, the update also makes many of the cosmetic elements of the game more accessible, and completely removes the Shipments and Hero Challenge Cards system and places their rewards in the store.
The update automatically converts players’ credits into in-game resources and turns Hero’s Catalysts and Fragment Extractors into double points for earned fragments and experience points.
In addition, players who earn at least one achievement before April 1 will receive Iron Man’s Variable Threat Response Battle Suit as a thank you.
Official support for Marvel’s Avengers is set to end on September 30th, after which the game will be taken down.
