John Wick director will direct Rainbow Six starring Michael B. Jordan
A new report from The Hollywood Reporter John Wick director Chad Stahelski will direct a new Tom Clancy sequel starring Michael B Jordan with Rainbow Six, which will be a sequel to Without Remorse.
Jordan will return as CIA and US Navy agent John Clarke, who has appeared in several Tom Clancy novels, first in the Jack Ryan series, and then in spin-offs such as Without Remorse and Rainbow Six.
The movie will be based on the same novels that Ubisoft has based its video game series on. In an interview with IGN, Jordan described Without Remorse as a more personal story, but the sequel could be more action-packed and more in the style of video games.
Stahelski has directed every John Wick movie since the series began in 2014 and has gone on to become one of the top action directors in Hollywood.
In addition to Rainbow Six, Stahelski is working on a Highlander remake starring Henry Cavill and will produce the John Wick spin-off Ballerina starring Ana de Armas.
Without Remorse was an origin story for Jordan’s character Clark that was released on Amazon during the pandemic. But reports say that Paramount will release Rainbow Six in cinemas.
