GFK Group has unveiled the UK’s weekly video game sales at retail, with the horror remake Dead Space taking the lead.
report says GamesIndustry Dead Space remake sales amounted to 80% on PS5 compared to 20% on Xbox Series X, and despite its presence in the lead, the game sales are less than half the number of copies achieved by The Callisto Protocol upon its release in December of last year.
Dead Space retails for a higher price, while also being available for fewer platforms than The Callisto Protocol. Callisto also launched around the holiday season, when store copy sales are usually higher.
Forspoken debuted in fourth place, while The Last of Us Part 1 on PS5 and The Last of Us Remastered on PS4, both of which saw huge sales increases last week due to the success of the HBO series, rose to the top.
