A retail release of Alan Wake 2 may be a possibility after all because THQ Nordic has indicated its interest in working on a retail version of the horror game that is supposed to be released digitally only to stay under $70.
THQ Nordic published the first Alan Wake game on PC including the store version, and the company said on Twitter: “We worked on the store version of Alan Wake for PC in the day, and would love to do the same again.”
Alan Wake 2 is digital only and will not launch on a physical disc.
Remedy says a “large number” have shifted to digital and this helps keep the price of the game at $60 and the PC version at $50.

While this is far from confirmed, THQ Nordic’s proposal gives a glimmer of hope for those who want to get their hands on a store copy of Alan Wake 2.
It is reported that Alan Wake 2 is coming on October 17th for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S and PC.
