Zeenat Aman further said, ‘The reason for meeting Raj Kapoor at that time was his next film ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’, for which he was signed. I met her only as an actress in a film. There was no personal relationship between us, neither at that time nor before or after, never. He was passionate about his work. I was passionate about my work.
Let us tell you that in Dev Anand’s autobiography ‘Romancing with Life’, which came in the year 2007, Dev Saheb had written that he had fallen in love with Zeenat while working in the 1971 film Hare Rama Hare Krishna, but then Raj Kapoor married her in Satyam Shivam. Sundaram offered and came close to him. In this book, Dev Anand has even written that ‘he was about to propose Zeenat in a party, but when he reached there, Raj Kapoor was with Zeenat. That’s why he did not propose Zeenat again and left from there. After giving many hit films, actress Zeenat Aman married actor Sanjay Khan and then she married Mazhar Khan.
