Taron Egerton made it clear in a recent interview that he wasn’t the “right choice” to play James Bond.
In an interview with Telegraph, released on Saturday, March 18, Taron Egerton has spoken out on the rumors that he will pay the next 007.
THE Kingsman The actor said: “I don’t think I’m the right fit for this, you have to be consistently statuesque to be that guy. And that’s something I always strive for. I’ve always struggled with my weight.”
Egerton went on to say that playing James Bond “is kind of like being a brand ambassador on top of being an actor. And that could be a lot of fun in the microcosm, but I’m sure I’ve read that [producer] Barbara Broccoli said it was a 15-year commitment.”
However, the Gold Globe-winning actor clarified, “How I feel about it doesn’t matter anyway, because I can tell you there was no phone call.”
