Jon Favreau opened up on comparing Pedro Pascal on HBO The last of us and Disney The Mandalorian.
During an interview with Empirethe filmmaker said, “It’s a great series, by the way,” adding, “I was on the road, I missed the last one, so I don’t want any spoilers. [Pascal] that’s great !”
Also, Joel and Mando have enough similarities, where the accent of the Narcos star as a protective father figure protecting a child in a dangerous world.
THE Iron Man The actor commented on the “central relationship” between the two shows.
“It’s amazing how much [Pascal] really cornered the market for this dad, archetypal protective dad,” Favreau continued. “But they’re different characters, though! Completely different characters, but both have the same thing… There’s a central relationship of molding a protective father into a not-so-communicative relationship.”
Pascal also compared the two shows, saying that the two shows are both “in good hands because [the creators] I really like.”
