‘The Dark Knight’ slots into Best Picture name

Steven Spielberg: ‘The Dark Knight’ is one of the Best Picture nominees

Steven Spielberg says that the years 2008 The black Knight would have made the Best Picture nomination list had it been released today.

During an interview with Deadlineoscar winner for the nomination of Top Gun 2 and Avatar 2 said: “I am really encouraged by this. He came in late for the movie that should have been nominated years ago, The Dark Knight by Christopher Nolan,” Spielberg added.

“This movie would definitely have won the Best Picture nomination today, so to have these two blockbusters solidly featured on the top ten list is something we should all celebrate.”

Previously at the 2009 Oscars, Nolan directed The black Knight earned nominations in eight Oscar categories, including Best Cinematography and Best Film Editing, but failed to earn a spot in the Best Picture category.

The other films nominated in the Best Film category of this year are All Quiet on the Western Front, The Banshees of Insherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Fabelmans, Tár, Triangle of Sadness and Women Talking.
