Rihanna lands in trouble over ‘racy’ Super Bowl halftime? Details inside
Rihanna is, once again, making headlines for her electrifying Super Bowl halftime performance, but this time it may not be for the right reasons.
The Umbrella singer, who took the internet by storm after announcing her second pregnancy on the Super Bowl stage, has greeted criticism for putting on a “racy” show.
It has now been reported that 103 complaints have been filed with the Federal Communications Commission, a US agency that regulates television, regarding the Super Bowl broadcast, almost all of them relating to the halftime show.
According to TMZ, numerous complaints saw people claiming Rihanna’s performance was “too big for the sex.”
Some even said that the lyrics and choreography were “too sexualized”. A viewer from Utah said the show was “so indecent that I had to turn off the TV because of the inappropriate content”.
However, Rihanna, who is pregnant with her second child with partner A$AP Rocky, did not perform a racy dance on stage, with many calling her background dancers who apparently made gestures that were “obviously offensive and totally inappropriate for children”.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is currently preparing her performance at the 2023 Oscars where she will sing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever OST Lift Me Up.
