Queen Camilla’s coronation dress will be designed by Princess Diana’s favorite designer
Queen Consort Camilla chose Bruce Oldfield, her husband’s ‘favorite’ designer, King Charles’ ex-wife Princess Diana, to design her coronation gown.
As reported by The Sun, the 75-year-old shares a close bond with Bruce and wants him to dress her up for the special occasion.
Bruce is known for designing some of the late princess’s most iconic outfits on several occasions and has even worked with Hollywood luminaries such as Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Taylor Swift.
A source told the publication that Bruce was the “obvious” choice for Camilla because she “has had a very close friendship with Bruce for many years, so in many ways it’s the natural and obvious choice.”
“Camilla trusts Bruce because he has truly delivered dresses for so many important occasions recently for her,” the insider added.
Asked about the speculation, Bruce declined to answer, saying, “What can I say?”
However, in a previous statement, the well-known cartoonist said, “I gave Diana her glamor and Camilla her confidence.”
