Prince William talks about Diana and homelessness in new video
Prince William spoke about homelessness in a televised call for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day.
The Prince of Wales said his late mother, Princess Diana, would be upset that more progress had not been made to tackle homelessness.
In a new video, he said Diana would be frustrated that more progress had not been made.
“My mum introduced me to homelessness at an early age, and I’m so glad she did,” Prince William said. “I think she would be disappointed that we weren’t further along in terms of addressing homelessness and preventing it than when she was interested and involved in it.”
The video was produced by Comic Relief and will be released in full during a telethon on Friday.
Diana died in a car accident aged 36 in 1997.
