Prince William was shocked that Prince Harry had the audacity to disagree with him during an argument over Meghan Markle.
During a private meeting at Nottingham Cottage, the Prince of Wales became violent after Harry refused to obey him ‘gently’.
Harry writes in his memoir ‘Spare’: “Of all the different and tumultuous emotions that ran through my brother that afternoon, one really stood out to me. He seemed upset. to be sassy enough to deny it, or challenge it, to refute its knowledge, which came from its trusted aides.”
He adds: “There was a script here and I had the audacity not to follow it. He was right in Heir mode and didn’t understand why I wasn’t dutifully playing the role of the Spare.”
