Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received further backlash for their alleged ‘attention seeking’ stunts.
A royal commentator called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ’embarrassing to themselves’.
Dan Wootton has slammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for promoting their children’s royal titles, saying they have lost their “last vestige of dignity”.
“They’re an attention-seeking couple, they’re, I think now, just an embarrassment to themselves,” Wootton told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
Last week’s decision sparked major controversy as the Sussexes continue to distance themselves from the royal family, following months of intense media coverage.
The TV presenter slammed Meghan and Harry for going from ‘wacky to pathetic’.
He continued: “Do you think now is the time that maybe we start to feel sorry for this embarrassing couple, who have stripped away their last vestige of dignity over the past week.”
Wootton also called them an “attention-seeking couple”, given that they spent years persuading fans that the Royal Family was a “backward organization that should have no place in modern society”.
“They were a laughing stock in America, and what they proved was that all the rhetoric around the royal family and the institution being bad for society is not something they actually believe” , he added.
The royal expert said: “They just want to be king and queen, and if they can’t be, they’ll try to take him down.”
