Prince Harry accuses the media of having ‘deprived’ him of his adolescence
Prince Harry has just accused the Associated News newspapers of stealing his teenager.
On behalf of Prince Harry, barrister David Sherbone released a statement highlighting his “deep grief”.
According to the statement, Prince Harry remains “troubled that, through the unlawful acts of Associated, he has been largely deprived of significant aspects of his teenage years.”
“In particular, suspicion and paranoia were caused by Associated’s publication of the illegal articles: friends were lost or cut off as a result and everyone became a ‘suspect’ since they were misled by the how the articles were written making him believe that his relatives for him were the source of this information provided to the Associated newspapers.
Thus, “Plaintiff views Associated’s unlawful acts as a major betrayal in light of media promises to improve his conduct following the tragic and untimely death of his mother, Princess Diana, in 1997.”
