Paris Hilton’s mother, Kathy Hilton, opened up about her first encounter with her grandson Phoenix.

“I was in shock, I was completely in shock,” Kathy Extra said in an interview published Friday. “We didn’t spend Christmas together because she was working out of the country. [Paris] said, “I have a surprise for you,” and it was my Christmas present. Then she waited a few minutes and said, “I have another surprise for you. “
“I thought maybe it was a puppy because my husband and I lost my dog,” Kathy explained. “Anyway, she comes in, the blanket comes down and I just say, ‘Who is that? What is that?’ “
Paris, 42, told Rolling Stone that after giving her mother a blue Chanel bag, “I held the baby on my shoulder with a blanket over him and then I sat down. She said, ‘What is this?” And I was like, ‘A baby…meet your grandson.’ She’s like, ‘Is this yours?’ And she begins to cry. She says, “Let me hold him. He’s the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen in my life. Oh, he’s so handsome.” She was just in tears.”
