Pamela Anderson Won’t Read Lily James’ ‘Pam and Tommy’ Letter: Here’s Why

Pamela Anderson made no secret of her displeasure with Hulu’s 2022 Pam and Tommy series.

Lily James starred as Anderson in the miniseries, which depicts her 1990s relationship with Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. This also includes the incident of him stealing and selling his infamous home movie.

According to an interview with Pamela published by The New York Times on January 13, 2023, the Downton Abbey the actress wanted “nothing more than to honor” the Baywatch star, but his attempt fell flat.

The article revealed that a “scanned copy of this letter still sits somewhere in Ms. Anderson’s inbox, unread”. Pamela also added that she would never watch the series because the project felt like an exploitation of her works, via The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the outlet, James went on to receive a Best Actress Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of Anderson. The show was also nominated for Best TV Movie or Limited Series.

Meanwhile, Anderson publishes his own memoirs, Love, Pamela, and is the subject of the Netflix documentary, Pamela, a love storywhich will be released on January 31, 2023.
