Netflix will offer a series adaptation of “Geek Girl” starring an awkward teenager
Netflix is ready to adapt A geeky girl in a series which is a novel by Holly Smale.
A geeky girl is a new series that follows an awkward teenager who embarks on a journey to pursue a modeling career.
The streaming platform will adapt Holly Smale’s novel series into a 10-part season, A geeky girl is set to begin filming later in 2023 with the Canadian and British co-production.
According to the series’ official plot, “A geeky girl tells the story of a clumsy, neurodiverse teenager, Harriet Manners, whose life is turned upside down when she is scouted to be a model and embarks on a life-affirming journey of self-discovery as she balances high school and Haute couture.
The series will premiere under the banner of Waterside Studios, an intellectual property and production company of writer and producer Jeff Norton.
For the ignorant, the A geeky girl the novels are published by HarperCollins and have been translated into over 30 languages. Netflix will stream the series worldwide.
