Meghan Trainor writes a book detailing her motherhood journey
Meghan Trainor is expecting her second child and is also preparing to release her first book.
The singer’s first book, Dear future mother, hits shelves April 25, 2023.
In the book, she talks about her pregnancy experience, with the weigh-in from her OB-GYN, dietitian, and personal trainer. “I’m an open book and I like to tell everyone about my rudeness and all my truths,” said the Everything about this bass the crooner said People’s Magazine.
“When someone says, ‘Oh my God, me too,’ then it makes me feel like I’m not alone, and I’m like, ‘I’m not weird, my body is no different. It’s normal’.”
Trainor also appeared on the Today the Monday morning show January 30, 2023 to talk about her second pregnancy.
“We were thinking who should I tell first, and I was like, I’ve been telling Hoda since I was 19 that I was going to the ‘Today’ show (that) I would have the more babies in the world,” she said. “It’s finally happened, and we’re so excited.”
Talking about the inspiration behind her book, she explained.
“When I was pregnant, I felt very alone,” she said on the show. “It was also the time of COVID, so I didn’t have any friends who were pregnant with me, and I just remember saying, I don’t want anyone else to feel like So now I can be your future best friend and I can help you out and tell you all my TMI details about my pregnancy and how crazy it was.
The book, whose full title is Dear Mom-to-Be: A TMI Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and New Motherhoodis described as “a heartfelt and humorous guide for expectant moms and their partners inspired by Meghan’s own journey to motherhood” and “offers expert advice from the personal trainer, dietician, husband and wife.” ‘Meghan’s Obstetrician’.
