There was nothing shameful in Meghan Markle’s private letter to Father Thomas Markle, Prince Harry says.
Writing in his memoir, the Duke of Sussex admits his wife did nothing wrong after telling her father to behave ‘decently’.
Harry writes: “There was nothing in that letter to be ashamed of. A daughter begging her father to behave decently? Meg backed up every word. paps staking his house, could steal his post. Everything was possible.
He added, however: “But she never stopped thinking that her father would actually offer it, or that a newspaper would actually take it – and print it. And edit it. Indeed, that might have been the most infuriating thing, the way the editors cut and pasted Meg’s words to make them less affectionate.”
