Marvel Chief Kevin Feige Admits “Too Much” MCU Content On Disney+

Marvel chief honcho Kevin Feige has opened up about the glut of Marvel shows on Disney+.

During an interview with Weekly Entertainment, Feige said, “I think one of the most powerful things about being at Marvel Studios is that these movies and shows hit the air.”

“It’s harder to hit the zeitgeist when there’s so much product — and so much ‘content,’ as they say, which is a word I hate. But we want Marvel Studios and the MCU projects to really stand out and stand out. So people will see that as we move through Phases 5 and 6. The pace at which we release Disney+ shows will change so they can each have a chance to shine.

Meanwhile, the studio has established itself on television as a major source of MCU storytelling over the past two years, with eight shows launched to date.

However, some fans questioned the volume of content; Feige hinted at spacing out the Marvel series and releasing fewer shows each year.
