Lady Gaga Finally Performs ‘Hold My Hand’ at the 2023 Oscars: Watch
Lady Gaga ended up performing her nominated song, hold my handat the 95th Academy Awards after all on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
The news comes after Oscars executive producer and showrunner Glenn Weiss told a press conference earlier this month that Gaga, 36, would not be performing at the awards ceremony.
“We invited the five nominees. We have a great relationship with Lady Gaga and her camp. She’s doing a movie right now,” Weiss said at the time, referring to Joker: Madness for twoa sequel to 2019 Jokervia Page 6.
She was spotted on set Saturday, just a day before the Oscars. However, she surprised fans and attendees with her red carpet appearance and more during her stripped down performance.
The 36-year-old singer ditched her glam makeup and ripped Versace dress she wore on the red carpet for a simple black t-shirt, ripped jeans and Converse.
The rockstar appeared to be wearing no makeup as she showed off her standout vocals as she performed the Oscar-nominated song from Top Gun: Maverick.
“It’s deeply personal to me,” she said, offering an oral introduction to her performance. “We all need each other. We need a lot of love to get through this life. Sometimes we need heroes. There are heroes all around us…. You may find that you can be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside.
