Lady Gaga Expresses Gratitude to Academy for Oscar Nod for Song “Hold My Hand”

Lady Gaga revealed she was grateful to the Academy for nominating her track hold my hand in the category Best Original Song of the Hit Hit Top Gun: Maverick.

Speaking to Instagram, the Bad Romance hitmaker dropped a photo with a beautiful bouquet of flowers while donning very casual clothes.

Gaga, who previously received the prestigious award for her song Shallow from A Star Is Born, wrote, “Thank you so much to the Academy for nominating my song ‘Hold My Hand’ for an Oscar this year!”

“Writing this song for the movie Top Gun: Maverick was a profound and powerful experience that I will never forget,” added the singer.

The singer made history after her wink as it’s the first time an artist has been nominated three times in the Best Original Song category.

“So grateful for the magic of music and film,” she continued. “Love you my co-writer @bloodpop I’m on set filming now big love for little monsters!”

The Tom Cruise star was the highest-grossing movie of 2022 and it even landed a spot in the top 10 movies of all time, topping worldwide sales of $1.4 billion.

As for Gaga, the actor-singer “has been keeping a low profile” since the sequel to the Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role has been announced.
