King Charles will disregard opinion polls on his coronation day: report
Anti-monarchy group Republic expects 1,000 people to show up on King Charles’ coronation day.
According to British media, this will be the group’s biggest demonstration.
Recent polls have shown that 56% of people have a positive opinion of the monarchy after Charles became king.
The percentage of people with a positive opinion of the monarchy was 70 during Queen Elizabeth’s reign.
Leaving an ally of Charles, a Telegraph article said the King would disregard the opinion polls of the day and simply do the job he is asked to do.
He declared then that the “Republic represents a minority”, “It is a minority which does not cease growing”.
The coronation of King Charles would take place on May 6 this year.
