King Charles III and the Royal Family are said to have destroyed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s “ill-conceived game plan” by maintaining a wall of silence.

The Royal Family emerged victorious as they ‘pulled a blinder’ by not publicly responding to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent bombshells.

More than a week after the Duke’s memoir was published, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace have yet to comment on the allegations made against Meghan Markle’s husband in his memoir, Spare.

Some royal fans and commentators see the monarch’s reaction to the Sussexes as a slap in the face for them.

Edward Coram-James, public relations, reputation and crisis management expert and CEO of Go Up, said it shows the Royal Family had a solid ‘game plan’ in place and were prepared for such accusations , while calling Harry and Meghan’s strategy “ill-conceived”.

“What should the Royal Family do in response to these allegations? In a nutshell: nothing. They pulled a blinker. The biggest mistake they could make would be to respond to any of the allegations. It’s just not allegations serious enough to warrant breaking their longstanding code of silence,” he told Express UK.

“Breaking that silence will involve guilt. Staying silent lends an air of maturity and stays above the fray. The Royals had a game plan and, unlike the Sussexes, whose game plan appeared ill-conceived and often deviated, the Royal Family have toed the line throughout,” he continued.

Coram-James continued: “The Royal Family know it will all explode soon enough, as the news cycle moves on and today’s news becomes stale. They will be deeply relieved that no fatal accusations have been made. been brought, and may feel that Harry’s revelations were not as damning as they would have inevitably expected.”

“The Royal Family will look forward to the coronation of King Charles knowing that they may have suffered minor bruises but they were never close to receiving knockout blows,” according to Coram-James.
