Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos opened up about the ups and downs of their 26-year marriage.
During the Sirius XM Podcast Let’s talk off camera with Kelly Ripa, tThe couple revealed that they had gone through extremely difficult times in their marriage and have delicately resolved them by tackling them together.
“It’s always getting better,” said the 51-year-old.
“If you communicate and talk about it, literally, there’s nothing insurmountable.”
However, the 52-year-old identified a weird habit of Consuelos in the past that was behind the clash.
“My biggest complaint about you during our marriage – and it’s not recent because it definitely changed, and I don’t know if I changed or if you changed or if it was a combination changes – but you used to be incredibly jealous,” Ripa said. “And that was a hard pill to swallow. It’s very hard to be married to someone who’s jealous. … It’s unattractive,” she added.
However, Consuelos replied that personal growth helped him overcome his jealousies.
“I wanted to do some work on myself,” he said. “It was one of the main things I had to work on because it was getting in the way.”
The duo share two sons and a daughter.
