Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson wears her heart on her sleeve and has just revealed the heartbreaking decision to leave the father of her children.
The singer weighed in on everything, during her appearance on the Angie Martinez’s IRL podcast.
The actual conversation started once the interviewer asked, “What does divorce do to you?” ‘Cause it’s got to change you, right?
To that, Clarkson admitted, “It tears you apart,” especially when you “fall in love with someone and it doesn’t work out.”
She also added: “I think the problem with the divorce – especially the fact that it’s been made public and people think they know everything – the hardest part is that it wasn’t a decision overnight.”
“Anyone who has divorced [knows]. It took years of trying to make it – not make it work, because I never wanted to be part of anything to “make it work”.
“I wanted it to be beautiful. I wanted to make it awesome. I wanted to make it all it could be, and sometimes that just doesn’t happen.
