John Travolta Pays Tribute to Olivia Newton-John With Touching 2023 Oscars Tribute
John Travolta choked up remembering his late friend Olivia Newton-John during the presentation of the “In Memoriam” segment at the 95th Academy Awards.

“Given that tonight is a celebration of the work and achievements of our community and of the past year, it is only fitting that we celebrate those we have lost who have dedicated their lives to their craft, both in front and behind the camera,” he added.
“Through their immeasurable contributions, each of them left an individual, indelible mark that shared and informed us,” Travolta continued. “They touched our hearts. They made us smile and became dear friends to whom we will always remain hopelessly devoted.”
Newton-John breathed his last in 2022 at age 73. Following his death, Travolta paid tribute to the actor hailing his “incredible” impact.
“My dearest Olivia, you have made our lives so much better,” Travolta wrote at the time. “Your impact has been amazing. I love you so much.”
He added: “We will see you on the road and we will all be together again. Yours as soon as I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
