Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘No Hard Feelings’ Criticizes Age Gap
No strong emotions The trailer starring Jennifer Lawrence faced questions over the major age gap between the film’s main cast.
In the recently released trailer, Lawrence’s character Maddie, 32, looking for easy gigs for money, has been enlisted by 19-year-old parents to seduce their son.
The film’s synopsis reads, with Andrew Barth Feldman as the son, “On the verge of losing her childhood home, Maddie discovers an intriguing job roster: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to ‘hang out’ with their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he left for college.
“Much to her surprise, Maddie soon discovers that clumsy Percy isn’t a sure thing.”
However, several viewers have expressed their views on the uncomfortable age gap between the film’s protagonists.
“First of all, I love Jennifer Lawrence, so don’t start. But a thirty-two-year-old woman who is compensated for ‘going out’ and ‘going out hard’ with an eighteen-year-old boy?” one of them.
“All with the agreement of mom and dad. I wonder if it would be as “funny” if it was a 32 year old man and an 18 year old girl.
“This Jennifer Lawrence trailer. What is that? A child’s parents are ashamed that he is introverted, so they hire JLaw, who is twice his age, to reverse engineer him. That’s the premise, right? another commented.
