Jenna Ortega recreates hilarious skit from ‘The Exorcist’ for ‘Saturday Night Live’
Jenna Ortega wowed audiences as she made her big debut on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Ortega, who rose to fame overnight after starring in the hit Netflix series, Wednesdayalso appeared in a hilarious skit based on the cult horror classic The Exorcist.
In the parody, Ortega played a young woman who is possessed – similarly to Linda Blair’s Regan MacNeil from the 1973 film.
An exorcist is called in, however, things take a hilarious turn when the neighbors get involved, complain about the noise, and end up helping with the exorcism.
Viewers praised Ortega for her performance, with one fan writing, “She didn’t break character once! Such a professional.
“She can play every role perfectly,” reads another comment, while another jokes, “And here I thought Jenna already covered all forms of horror.”
Ortega can currently be seen in Cry VIhaving already acted in horror films Scream and X.
Ortega, who also starred in the Netflix series Youlast week, talked about putting his “foot down” while working Wednesday.
“When I first signed on to the show, I didn’t have all the scripts. I thought it was going to be a lot darker,” she said. didn’t know what the tone was, or what the score would sound like.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had to set foot more on set in a way that I had to on Wednesday,” she added.
