Anurag Kashyap on PM Modi: In the midst of the Boycott trend going on in the country for a long time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had told the party leaders a few days back that unnecessary statements on films should be avoided. Now the reaction of film director Anurag Kashyap has come to the fore on this statement of PM Modi. During the trailer launch of his film ‘Almost Love with DJ Mohabbat’ in Mumbai on Thursday, he gave his reaction to PM’s statement. He said that if he had said this four years ago, there would have been a difference in truth.
In response to a question asked during the trailer launch, Anurag Kashyap said, “If he had said this 4 years ago, it would have really made a difference. Right now I don’t think anyone can control his own people…things are out of hand. It is not that anyone will listen to anyone now. When you reinforce prejudice with silence, when you reinforce hatred with silence. Now she has become so strong that she has become a force in herself. That mob has come out.”
What did PM Modi say?
On the second day in the National Executive meeting in Delhi, PM Modi, without naming any leader, advised the leaders and workers of the party that unnecessary comments on films should be avoided. He said that it is better to avoid such issues as much as possible. Along with this, the PM also said that such comments put the agenda of development in cold storage.
In fact, in recent times, many such films came, which were opposed by many leaders along with social media. It is alleged that many big budget films could not earn well at the box office due to this boycott trend. Now the same thing is happening against Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer film Pathan. This film is also being strongly opposed. Meanwhile, this statement of PM came, which is being discussed a lot.
