This is how ‘Naina Thug Lenge’ got connected with Omkara
Vishal Bhardwaj further said, “This song was never in this film and it was not even planned. Our producer Kumar Mangat sahab came to us and told us that after ‘O Sathi Re’ we need another romantic song for this film. I wanted to postpone it as its release was already fixed. There was a scene in the film where Ajay and Kareena are seen in flashback and I thought of fitting another song there.”

Vishal Bhardwaj recalled that moment, “I requested Gulzar Sahab and he suggested us a line which was ‘Naina thug lenge’. Later we found Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sahab and got him to sing this song. And then we mixed the entire song and released it. I still don’t know how it happened and became a song! Today I feel like paying tribute to Kumar ji because if Kumar ji was not there, this song would never have happened.
