Hilary Duff received praise for the Laguna Beach theme song, but the actress was unable to watch the show due to a busy schedule.
The 35-year-old actress recently spoke about the three-season show while appearing on Watch what’s happening live.
“At a time when you couldn’t tape TV shows, I was on tour,” Hilary said. “So I missed a lot of the great stuff that people talk about that I couldn’t experience. And then my song was the theme song, and I loved it because I lived in MTV for a certain time.
“I certainly didn’t get super rich using it as a theme, and I’m not going to pretend to know what happened in the background for them to use it,” she said. “But they used it.”
Hilary’s singing career includes five studio albums from 2000 to 2015.
