Harry and Meghan’s absence from the Oscars “unsurprisingly” because it would have “raised many questions”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s absence from the 95th Academy Awards was “no surprise” as it would have raised many questions had they attended the event.
After fans wonder why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t come to the Oscars, a famous PR expert has said The Express that their presence at the event would only have caused bad press.
“It makes no sense for Harry and Meghan to be at the Oscars,” Carla Speight told the outlet. “Their documentary was not nominated.”
“Meghan is not currently playing and I don’t think Harry has any intention of either, although some weird things have happened with them recently.”
Speight added: “If they showed up for the Oscars it would raise a lot of questions as to why and ultimately it wouldn’t be a good look for them because it just doesn’t make sense.”
She went on to reveal that the only time celebrities go to award shows is for three reasons. “Either they got nominated, they’re networking, or they have a project they want to plug into,” Speight said.
“Harry and Meghan don’t have any of those reasons to be there, so it’s no surprise they haven’t been there,” the PR guru added.
