Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were snubbed last Sunday at the Sir Elton John AIDS Foundation’s annual Oscars party, a royal author has suggested.
The reason Tom Bower believed it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who didn’t make an appearance at any high-profile 2023 Oscars event over the weekend, according to express.co.uk.
Questioning the couple’s influence in Hollywood, he said, “They weren’t even invited to Elton John’s Oscar party. They really are nothing in Hollywood!”
The publication reports that Sir Elton John has raised a record $9 million with the aim of preventing new cases of HIV, combating stigma and providing HIV.
The report says John has joined the growing list of celebrities to snub Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who have moved to California after stepping down as senior royals.
It could not be independently confirmed if the couple weren’t invited or if they skipped the event for some reason.
