Nickelodeon star Drake Bell and his wife Janet Von Schmeling have split after his recent fights and act of child endangerment, sources say Page 6 exclusively.
On December 7 and 8, 2022, Bell was spotted blowing balloons in his car in the parking lot of a California vape store while his young son sat in the back seat. According to the insider, Von Schmeling has “had enough.”
the Drake and Josh alum, 36, and Von Schmeling, 28, started dating in 2013 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in 2018. In July 2021, the actor revealed they had quietly welcomed a boy.
Bell allegedly endangered his young son. “Drake pulled up in the driveway of his house [in Los Angeles] and started blowing up a pink balloon that was in her lap. He inhaled it… [until] the balloon was deflated,” the eyewitness said We Magazine of the December 7 sighting, adding that the bell repeated the action “six or seven times” in 30 minutes. “Eventually he got out and went into his house and then he came back and got his child out of the rear child seat and carried him inside.”
According to Page 6, Von Schmeling returned to Florida with their son. The outlet shared that she closed a home and is receiving support from her family.
“They’ve had some amazing, beautiful times before. He needs to focus on his health, and they will be great co-parents going forward,” the source said. “It’s a bad time for Drake. But he’s a great dad when he’s healthy and sober.
