Cillian Murphy Wins First Leading Actor BAFTA Nomination for ‘Peaky Blinders’ Final Season

Cillian Murphy has landed a BAFTA nomination for her acclaimed performance in BCC 1’s gangster series Peaky Blinders.

According Deadline, Cillian Murphy will compete in the Best Actor category, earning recognition for his work across six seasons of the critically acclaimed crime drama.

Another newbie, Gary Oldman, is competing alongside Murphy in the Best Actor category, for his performance as spy Jackson Lamb in the Apple TV+ series, Slow Horses.

In 2007, the Anthropoid Mission actor was nominated for a BAFTA for the Rising Star award at the Film Awards.

Other Best Actor nominees include Ben Whishaw (It’s Gonna Hurt), Martin Freeman (The Responder), Chaske Spencer (The English) and Taron Egerton (Black Bird).
