BTS’s Jimin Talks About His New Song ‘Set Me Free Pt. 2’
Jimin of K-pop group BTS released his pre-release single titled Free me pt. 2. The song is part of his first solo album titled Confront.
He spoke with Result, an online post where he explained how he felt while creating the song. He explained that he went to America for the recording of the choir, and the moment he heard it was really special:
“When this song was made, I felt really attached to it. I myself went to the States for the recording of the choir, and to listen to it right next to them was really incredible. I remember it as a very good memory.”
He also acknowledged that the Pt 2 in the song is a nod to Suga’s mixtape D-2 released under Agust D but there is no big connection:
“There is no connection, and we weren’t trying to split the first or the second part. But since it turns out that my song is about freedom and moving forward, and SUGA’s song is about some of the stories before, I thought it would be good to come after that.
