K-pop Group BTS Fans Slam Hanteo Chart’s Alleged Sales Manipulation Of Jimin’s Debut Solo Confront. Jimin released his debut album and title track on March 24.
He became the first solo artist in Hanteo history to achieve over 1 million sales on the first day of sales. ARMYs took to celebrating the achievement on all social media platforms, however, they soon noticed that the chart stopped seeing new sales for about six hours.
Moreover, they realized that around 30,000 sales were deleted in one hour. When fans began to inquire about the discrepancy and the sales freeze, Hanteo released a statement claiming that the album had sold approximately 991,437 copies as of March 24.
There seemed to be another discrepancy as their website stated that it had sold 1.75 million copies instead. After fans inquired further, Hanteo hid their real-time charts on their website.
