Britney Spears was spotted having a ‘manic fit’ at a restaurant, prompting Sam Asghari to leave the establishment, according to TMZ.
Spears was having dinner with her husband Sam Asghari at a restaurant named Joey, in the Woodland Hills, Calif., area on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023. The singer was immediately recognized and triggered by restaurant patrons who pulled out their cellphones and started taking unwarranted photos and videos of her.
People who allegedly witnessed the incident at the restaurant said TMZ On Saturday the pop icon, 41, was “maniacal” and started speaking gibberish – not another language, just unrecognizable speech.
In video obtained by the outlet, Spears could be seen holding a menu to shield her face from the camera. Sources say Asghari, 28, was “visibly upset” and abruptly “walked out” of the place without his wife.
Just two minutes later, Spears reportedly came out herself and her bodyguard picked up the bill.
A Joey’s manager said page 6 they could not “disclose any information” or confirm that the couple were there.
Spears has openly struggled with mental health issues, particularly due to the stress of her 13 years of guardianship, via Page 6. She was reportedly diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but has spoken out on social media and in court that she was held in a mental health facility against her will and forced to take medication.
