Britney Spears not in danger, cops confirm after singer deletes Instagram
Britney Spears is not in danger.
Worried fans had asked the police for a health check on singer 41, after she suddenly deleted her Instagram account.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Page 6 on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, the Toxic the singer is not in danger.
“I can confirm that we have received calls in our dispatch, and essentially I can confirm that we do not believe Britney Spears to be in danger or in danger,” a police spokesperson said.
The officer did not reveal the number of calls they received and said they would not reveal if they had been in direct contact with Spears, 41, or how they knew she was well .
The police spokesperson explained that the reason they provided minimal detail was because any additional transparency was a “matter of public trust”.
“It’s just a matter of privacy for the residents of our county,” the officer said. “It’s a matter of public trust. We just don’t disclose that stuff [such as wellness checks]. It’s not a crime.”
“We don’t really talk about mental health issues or anything like that,” he added before reiterating, “I can’t confirm or deny that deputies visited her house, but we don’t believe not that Britney Spears is in any kind of harm or danger at this point.
This isn’t the first time Spears has deleted her account. This time around, before Spears’ final Instagram stop, the hold me closer singer hinted at marital disputes with Sam Asghari.
She posted a photo of a car and a lengthy caption, in which she talked about a variety of things, but specifically wrote, “It sucks to be me” and “Giving someone all I love. one only gives me the dagger in my heart!!!”
